Windows 7 vs Babo Violent

Hey!
Im already installed a new Windows on my computer and later the game. But there are some problems. In Menu i have maybe 5 fps in game 1-2. On XP i had 60. Wheres problem? I've a new graphic card Geforce 9600 GT 512MB. Maybe trouble is in drivers? Could be, i seen white weapons instead of normal black yesterday..

Hey ceph, do you have the latest graphic drivers installed?
If you do, you might want to tweak with your graphic card software, and turn v-sync off.

Also, do u have a multicore cpu? If so you might need to install a little application, to tell your computer to run babo on only 1 core, although this never happened to me, but i heard to have happened to others.

Anyway, good luck and update us with changes.

If you want to try Dev's suggestion about the mutli-core thing, just bring up taskmanager, go to the bv2.exe process and set affinity to 1; but babo runs fine on my quad-core so its probably something else. OR you could try running it in compatibility mode for windows xp. Might help :\

Problem is (almost) fixed. I downloaded a leatest drivers (blame Win7 ) and fps was better, but sometimes its growing down to zero and backs to 60. In fact its rlly annoying. Well, babo doesnt work very well on new operation systems.

Ceph, did you try to disable v-sync and set your graphic card to full performance?
That seriously made my fps drop before, maybe that's what's happening to you too.

You said you have an nVidia graphic card so you should have an nVidia control panel where you can control all those settings. It's not complicated, just mess around a bit there and see if it will improve your fps.

Nvidia control panel is found in your computer's control panel. It'll give you several options and fiddling around with all of them is probably not a good idea if you don't know what you're doing. What Devil is getting at, is for you to go to the option:

"Adjust image settings with preview"
Then move the slider all the way down to the left to "Performance" (the 3rd option)
and hit Apply.

I found Nvidia configuration file and problem is fixed ;] Thx u guys now babo works well.

BTW. 1 thing is rly nice:

U can review on internet and at the same time watching the game

u can just AERO peek inside the game full screen

Yeh you would do well to set it up as Crapper has actually, because my advice would change global settings for all your games - say something like Batman: Arkahm Asylum (XD) would not look as nice with your settings turn down to Performance. Crapper is showing you how to modify the settings for a single game - babo in this case.
