Adjust screen mode
Hello everyone,
I bought a new laptop and I installed version games babo
Customer pro. I have a problem: I can not play with a full screen.
Of course I put option in full sreen and it works only on the sides I see a black band. I can not find the right resolution for display takes my whole screen.
as that :
But is larger, the black lines are much larger. They were cut
by fraps :/ The graphic game must cut by 8cm i thinks on the sides (lines black) :/
And I can not turn the game: "failed to switch in fullsreen
mode."
How to fix it?
Ty

Re: Adjust screen mode
If you use the "widescreen" option, it doesn't work very well. You'll have to play with the game stretched (800x600)

Re: Adjust screen mode
It's the way babo works, on some resolutions you can have stretched image or with black lines on left and right side (so widescreen users don't have bigger range of view horizontally).

Re: Adjust screen mode
Start Babo
Options: Widescreen (Stretch)
exit babo
Open bv2.cfg
edit the resolution there
save the file and play.
If you typed in the wrong resolution, you'll know when you start the game.

Re: Adjust screen mode
I chose the option standart and I left everything default. Normal it must take all the width like on my old PC. Even trying the two other views options that changes nothing: /
In this case, I still can not open babo ..

Re: Adjust screen mode
if you can not edit the file (change and save it) then most likely some other program probably uses it, in this case babo that isnt closed or your anti virus for some reason locked it or some other unexpeted windows bullshit. install this beautiful little thing:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Unlocker.shtml
then, try to open and edit it again. if you get the same error, close the file, right click on it and select Unlocker. it will show you what programs are using that file and you can click there and unlock it from any of programs that are found. after that you should be able to edit it.

Or if it's win7 you have to access file properties so that you enable writing in it.

Re: Adjust screen mode
Hm. Y'es I'm admnistrator.
Ok so, i downloaded Unlocker and there is not programs opened.
I Can to open the file cgf, to edit message but I can't to save.
When I open the file cgf, I replaced "true"to "false" to fullscreen mode:
Now, I want to save:
In english : " It already exists. Would you replace it? "
I click on "yes".
I'm lost

Re: Adjust screen mode
Choose save as... option, save it somewhere else, delete the old cfg and replace it with the new one

Not possible in win7 that way, because all application-created files are set to read-only, you have to do this:
1. Right click on the file
2. Click "Properties"
3. Go to the "Security" tab
4. Click on "Edit"
5. Allow on everything
6. Click ok and voila

Re: Adjust screen mode
It works Cinc, but it is unpleasant not to play in fullscreen, especially When you see the Windows task bar at the bottom, the writes and balls babo are small. Fullscreen When I commit, I can not open babo, I returns the same error message, and then I have to edit the file each time cgf.
How to play fullscreen? Argh ..

Re: Adjust screen mode
Disable widescreen option. That's how I play, it's stretched out but unfortunately if i select widescreen, the game crashes.

Re: Adjust screen mode
Babo in window is the best
if its small u can just change the resolution on the window so it fits better.

Re: Adjust screen mode
What resolution do you have on your desktop?
And have you managed to successfully save the edited .cfg file?

Re: Adjust screen mode
Okay, that's what I thought. Char had the same problem with his laptop, and he has the same resolution. The fix we found is:
- open the bv2.cfg file and look for the line that says "r_resolution".
- at this line, delete whatever resolution you have and write "r_resolution 1280 768"
- then look for the line that says: "r_widescreen" and change it to: "r_widescreen 1"
And of course, select the fullscreen mode, to do this in the file just look for the line that says "r_fullScreen" and set it to "r_fullScreen true"
Let me know if it worked

Re: Adjust screen mode
Me and the Devil tried to solve the problem internally by following his excplications, and nothing has changed.
I seen that baboww has got already this problem here : https://eurobabo.forumotion.com/t556-widescreen-error
