European K.O. tournament season 2

Season 2 of this tournament is starting. 6 deatmatches will be held to see who advances to the next round. First 5 players from each group + 2 best 6th players by ratio will qualify for the K.O. group.

As some people complained about not being able to play during the weekend last time, two deatmatches will be held on weekdays.

Deatmatch dates:

26.12.2009., 27.12.2009., 30.12.2009., 02.01.2010., 03.01.2010, 06.01.2010.

All dm's will start at exactly 20:00 CET, on Real Squad servers. If people express desire to change the time, it will be done. Rules for the deatmatches are same as on public servers - no flame/nade spawn, no spamming etc.
15 people will be allowed to play on each dm (I will need some admin help with arrangements for this). I hope one of the organizers will always take the screenshots, but just for any case you can take yours.

Rules for the K.O part of the tournament are:
It is played 1 on 1, each player chooses a map and a weapon. Weapons allowed are: Sub Machine Gun, Shotgun, Sniper Rifle, Dual Machine Gun (others can be chosen if both players agree). Flame is not allowed, suicides count as -1.

K.O part is played like this:


A1 is the first placed player from the 1st deatmatch, and so on. G1 and G2 are two best 6th-placed players.

What'll happen when the server crashes, cuz that happens these days 3 times per 15 mins?

About the crashes... I'll try to take a screen each minute or two, maybe even just before the crash, then we will sum it all up later.

well my pc's video card chose to fry, I won't be able to take part in this since this laptop doesn't run babo with more than 1 fps lol.. have fun everyone

edit: Maybe I did it the same way, but I think the KO places are uneven e.g.

1st v 1st , 5th v 1st , 3rd v 3rd its not same chances it must be balance like both number equals something like 6 > 1v5 2v4 3v3 a.s.o.

Place on DM don't determine your skill on 1v1, it's something completly different.
Therefore it really doesn't matter how you set K.O. pairs.

Hehehe I know what you mean, but check that 1st vs 1st and read under the pic: "G1 and G2 are two best 6th placed people by ratio"

Follow the link to see table "winners of loosers" or smth. Players are sorted by position and then by K/D ratio. What's the use of it? To see if you go through even though you are lower ranked (for example fear and Baboow may free up a spot if they qualify in one of next DMs).

Yeah I planned something like this if all 6th placed people qualify in other dm's, looks very nice!

Because of some circumstances, the date of the last match has been moved to 07.01.2010.

That means the K.O part will start the following day. Match table will be announced on the forums. Since I already made this announcement, I will also post the rules for the K.O. part now:

Each round of K.O. part (1/16 finals, 1/8 finals, quarterfinals and semifinals) has 7 days to be completed. Players who failed to play until the given deadline will be given 1 more chance, if they post on this forum or contact me in the game. If they fail to do it, the player who was supposed to play against the winner will automaticaly go to the next round. Since I doubt any organizers will be present at all matches, it is your job to organize them - via messengers or in-game chat. Any of the players who participated can post the results in the coresponding topic (there will be a thread for each rounds' reports). If you don't have screenshots, you need another person to confirm the results. It can be anyone who observed the match.

For the very 1v1, rules are these:
-each player chooses a map and a weapon
-spawn shots are not allowed, so small maps are not advised
-flames are forbidden - if a player kills another one with flame accidentally he is forced to suicide himself to recieve -1 kill (using proclient is recommended)
-Weapons allowed are Sniper, Submachine Gun, Shotgun, Dual Machine Gun
-other weapons may be chosen with the other players agreement.
-each match is played to 15 - players will need to find admins to remove the time limit
-if there is no admin present at the time, players are allowed to play with 15 min time limit
-player with higher number of kills from both matches is the winner
-semifinal and final matches will require one of the organizers to observe (this rule is a subject to change if any unpredictable circumstances occur)

Round dates:
1/16 final: from 08.01. to 14.01.
1/8 final: from 15.01. to 21.01.
1/4 final: from 22.01. to 28.01.
semifinal: from 29.01. to 05.02.
final: from 06.02. to 12.02.

im sorry but this rule is kinda senseless, there a certain thing called reflex and u can't control yourself in some cases. Also u can abuse this rule, if u are about to die, just flame and then both will be with full hp again

For me, either an admin should disable it or let ppl use flame.

for the game just change the button that throws flame, then u won't "accidently" throw it, if u cannot control urself
