Test period for cg with 0.143 damage?

only balanced weapons are smg and sniper, nothing else in babo can never be balanced because the variables which we can change are not enough to make it balanced. it will only push the balance pointer left to under powered or right to over powered but never in the middle. the problem is technical of babo not being developed, not in poorly set variables.

that being said, i am not around lately but is any clan playing all cg and owning everybody else? i think that i dont need to be around to know that answer.

Its slowly getting to the old shotty point. It's not quite there yet, but thats why we stop it now.

Seems like the test period will happen so I've set the damage on BVE RS.
IMO all the servers except UK RS should be testing servers. UK RS is omitted because we can't ensure the change sticks seeing as none of us have ftp access to that server and because KingJ, who is the only one that can change the configs for that server, is seldomly seen on msn you'd have to call an admin before every game to make sure the damage is set.

Doesn't seem like most people have a problem with cg though, not many voted and even less bothered to comment. But I guess testing it for a little won't hurt anything ;p

Now we just need to get some admins off their asses and do the job. I've enabled voting of cg damage on rs1 in case some bright kid gets the idea to test other settings. Default is still set to 9.16

Well the CG damage is not what bothers me the most, its the fact that somehow its almost imposible to win a "gunside challenge" against a CG! Ye ye I know what some of you gonna say! Smile
But somehow the same players who use CG also use SMG from time to time almost never win a SMG/SMG gunside battle against me, but with CG I hardly hit them before im 0,2 or something Smile

My question is does it have a bigger "hitratio" (dunno what to call it) or are the bullets just bigger?

On topic: yes to testing 0,143.

Bullets have equal spread as smg, so the chances of hitting should be the same. the difference is that cg takes less bullets for that.

The reason is because you'd lose regardless of cg damage so why not go against the majority, just so you have something to bitch about?

For people who want to know how cg should be, you can download version 2.03 from the archive (http://archive.baboviolent2.ru/). Then compare it to the current cg. Since we can't have that type of cg (gameplay-wise) we have to do something else, and the only thing we can do is lower the damage.

The spread for smg and cg is not the same. If you don't move while shooting cg then the spread is lower.

How long is the test period going to last? 2 weeks or a month?
Cause we need a set deadline for it otherwise it might just stay this way forever cause people tend to forget about it as it happened with sg.

A month will be fine, but anyone is free to make a poll about changing it/keeping it whenever they think it's okay. Assuming they've tested it enough.
