Re: How to improve Your fps
yeah i tried pretty much everything and dont have dual cores. For me its still playable you would just expect to get better fps i kinda got used to low fps. I was playing at a friends house with 100+ fps and the babo rolled way to smooth
mindflayer- Medium Babo
Re: How to improve Your fps
From personal experience is it better to play with just one core on turn on both(1,2,etc.)?
i rly dont know how i can check which is better?

Re: How to improve Your fps
I play using only 1 core. Which improves my fps from 120 to around 300.

Re: How to improve Your fps
what if I've tried all of your suggestions and it's still the same?
I turned off v-sync, I tried the winlauncher application, I changed the graphic card to it's best performance..Since I do have an Nvidia graphic card (Nvidia Geforce 9500GT) *updated*, it's a quadcore, and even that application didn't work out, what can you guys advise me next?

Re: How to improve Your fps
Kill your pc To be serious now,Crapp could help you. Still I have smth to add.I have integrated videocard,P4 processor,1gb ram,etc.etc. My fps you ask? After reducing ingame graphics to the minimum and using one colour for the ground and one for the walls I get 50-60 on a regular basis.Drops to 20 if crowded and in 1v1 goes over 70-80 So maybe dear midnight friend it's your pc config all together that reduces the fps...

Re: How to improve Your fps
seems I've got to wait for Crap then just kidding
it's just, my pc has no reasons to use lower details for babo. I also had this configs before on Vista, and had like 400-500 fps

Forst of Vincent, can you post some specs?
Motherboard:
Ram:
GFX: 9500GT
OS:
My first suggestion is always to update all drivers and BIOS. If you've never tried updating the BIOOS before, I could try assisting you in it. Also remember that GFX cards have updatable BIOSes too.
If you've moved on to win7, there's been some compatibility issues with XFX (among others) and nvidia GFX cards. A BIOS update could be the fix for you if this is the case.
To be sure that v-sync is turned off, in the console type: set cl_enableVsync false.
Also in the nvidia controlpanel under 3D settings set vsync to "force off"
I guess you've already done most of the things suggested but maybe... just maybe you'd missed some of the things
Ok, post your specs and I'll see what I can do to help you out.

Re: How to improve Your fps
Windows 7 says that he downloaded the drivers himself etc.
Dont believe that and go download&install it yourself from your graphic card's webpage

Re: How to improve Your fps
Ok, after our long talk on MSN, the failed(run as Administrator shit) and successful BIOS updates I got to thinking about the drivers once more. I set up my old PC, installed the latest drivers from nvidia and trying BV on it I can't get more than 60FPS on an empty server. This led me to believe that it might be a driver related problem after all so, I downloaded an older driver, installed it and whuazing... 230FPS on an empty server .
This might be what all the fuzz is about with your problem also. The specs for the PC I set up are:
MB: ASRock P4I65G R2.0
CPU: Pentium 4 3.4GHz @ 4.2GHz
Cooler: Thermaltake SILENT WATER
RAM: 2X2 GB Kingston HyperX PC3200, CL 2.0
GFX: Leadtek WinFast A7600GT TDH AGP X8
OS: Windows 7 32bit
So you might want to give this a try.

Re: How to improve Your fps
http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/9.10.0129/PhysX_9.10.0129_SystemSoftware.exe Try dwnloading this( for the co-processor that shows up).
Also, try downloading stand alone installer for openGL from nvidia... Didn't have time to find the link.
Report back afterwards.
Last resort: Install a VM and then install XP on it to run BV from lol... Ok, might be too much but it might also just work. Otherwise, go back to Vista if that was better. I'll keep thinking but, I think it's a matter of time/drivers. At some point it'll get fixed I'm sure.

Re: How to improve Your fps
Here I go with a useless post, but I have the same graphics card and no problems running on XP SP3. Assuming there's no dust or crap clogging your hardware, Windows 7 fail?
Re: How to improve Your fps
naah, won't change the OS. Specially, because I've seen babo working well on worst computers with a worst graphic card, and with Win7 on it. So, it won't be a possibility for now.
Dust? nope, I've done recently a clean up, so no.

Not a useless post. One thing is for sure though, Windows XP has so far been the most gamer-oriented OS from Microsoft till this day.
I can't come up with anything more though. Maybe if you can post a screenshot with the thing in it that gives you the yellow "?" we could at least find out what that's all about.

I don't think there's need to do it, but here you go anyway. Because I've already asked Dev about it and he said he has it too.

Busting my balls?? Really. It looks like the only thing you're doing in this thread is making it longer with stupid remarks . J/k but you knew that already hehe.
Ok, during the install of drivers on your PC, did you get any messages saying "file not found"?
If so, in the unpacked driver directory of the nForce package specific to your motherboard (usually located somewhere in C:\NVIDIA), in the SMU folder, modify smuc64.inf (probably without the 64 for a 32-bit Windows) rewrite the line "NVCOSMU.DLL=0" to "nvcosmu.dll=0" without quotes and save it. This being written in capital letters prevents the .inf from installing the driver. You will have to accept an unsigned driver message because you "modded" the inf. It's worth a shot.
And no, you can't just rename the .dll to NVCOSMU.DLL. Even if you do rewrite the .dll file to capital letters, it won't accept it. Has to be done in the .inf file... stupid sh*t that it is lol
