Re: My Desktop
Yeah you won, but only after being given the biggest clue in history, which, frankly, hardly warranted the special cookie mix I bought from Tesco and baked to perfection, followed by the purchase of a padded envelope and sufficient stamps for sending said cookies to the worthy winner of the prize. You also won by being the only person to enter within the unwritten timeframe. It is for those reasons that the cookie jar was empty, and has nothing to do with cnik, although admittedly he would've taken them whilst in the midst of a drunken haze if I had topped up the communal cookie jar. For that reason, I am afraid you did not receive any cookies. My undying affection, however, well that is free . And there's plenty of it to go around for anyone else who guesses (or works it out) correctly.Anette wrote:its too late dysp.. I already won, but the jar was empty

I'm not sure I want to be piting my wits against the likes of these lot, for mere Tesco cookies. No, I thought when I was getting into this I was gona get some special mama Mnk cookies - but the truth always comes out in the end doesn't it? BTW Tesco can go to hell, stupid big (almost? IDK) monopolistic firm that has cheesey ads and a freaking catalogue. Its a grocery store goddamnit not freaking Argos.

Re: My Desktop
Well, Tesco Economy Value Cookie Mix isn't renown for its tastiness, but it was the cheapest crap I could think of buying given the present economic situation. But at least my conscience can sleep having paid an extortionate 5p for a Bag for Life, which undoubtedly balances the environmental cost of the plastic shrink wrap surrounding the imitation chocolate chips. MMMMMMM. Anyway, best not speak foul of Tesco, otherwise someone may take out a Tesco Value Hit on you, unless of course you have Tesco Value Protection or are a sufficiently significant Clubcard user and can use the Nectar points to pay off the ninjas or w/e they send.Snake wrote:I'm not sure I want to be piting my wits against the likes of these lot, for mere Tesco cookies. Re: My Desktop
Quality post there old boy. Made me chuckle rather embarrasingly in front of one's peers.
How long did it take you to write that post? Because it reads like satire heaven, seriously I can't get enough of it..
Oh it also sounds like you have beef with Tesco. Did they wrong you in some way? I'm not defending, I just want to know what prompted such a biting response from you.

Re: My Desktop
well mnk.. Its not like it was the biggest hint ever, so I'm not sure its fair to not give at least one cookie for it. Your undying affection I kinda thought I had already. Anyways, doesn't really sound like I want your cheap ass chocolate chip cookie imitations, you can however sent one of those chocolate thingies, cause as you know they don't last long
and seriously, what is your problem with Tesco? Your parents forgot you one time at the store or what?

Re: My Desktop
Ahh Gloom you play WoW? Lol do you still get sucked into it for ages? Never played it myself, it doesn't look that great IMO. I see you also have UT3, how is that? I was considering getting it based on my experiences with UT2004, but I have a nagging voice at the back saying "dont get it".
And Assassin's Creed FTW. The ending sucked and the story was a setpiece that you had to play out like a dozen times exactly the same way but it was sooo coool just running across the rooftops. Oh btw have you tried Mirrors Edge? Its another Parkour game, and I was wondering how that was....

Yeah I used to play wow but only on private servers but got bored with it.
UT3 was more fun then UT04 to me especially CTF -vehicles mode .
Assassin Creed is so boring that I'm trying to finish it for over a year now (@Anette still its more fun, improved version then on PS3 that You played) and the freedom of movement was astonishing during first hours of gameplay .
I heard about M Edge , didn't have opportunity to check it yet (but its supposed to be repetitive so it won't be top priority on my "must have list")
