If you like "Undisputed" and generally fighting movies you should check out movies by Tony Jaa. Muay Thai all the way.
Here's a clip from one of his movies:

Hehe. Nice one Devil but Capoeira is more of a very effective looking dance than a martial art.

I preffer Muay Thay myself, but Capoeira is a nice style as well. Combining the too should be both acrobatic and effective xD

What Tony Jaa displays is not really anything you'd see in a fight and not something muay thai fighters would do but it sure as hell looks goodDevil wrote:I preffer Muay Thay myself, but Capoeira is a nice style as well. Combining the too should be both acrobatic and effective xD
Combine capoeira and wushu or xma, I think that'd be more acrobatic still. High jumps and kicks of wushu or xma and the ground work from capoeira would certainly make it acrobatic.
Great ppl trying
Re: Films : Top10
Ye, of course. In a fight one tends to do the most efficient and less flashy way. I said I prefered muay thay because I practiced it xD
Anyway, movies have come a long way. If you remember the old "Kickboxer" movie with Van Damme where he was also showing of muay thay, and compare that to Tony Jaa's movies you realize how big the difference in the amount of flashy moves vs efficient is xD.

only true description of capoeira is: "a game". it has set of rules, which are vague and can be bent so that only real rule is that there is no rule but still it is closest to game than to either martial art or dance or dancing fighting stile or any other combination. i was practicing it for 4 years and this is conclusion i have from my experience with it.

Well, apart from Event Horizon I'm not a watcher of futuristic films as such but figured I'd add a few genres. otherwise it'd all be horror movies on that listvarlan wrote:Blade Runner on 10 with all the bs ones above? You must be joking
Yes. Would have added Parasomnia to the list but 10 movies it was.Devil wrote:Seriously?
Seen loads of movies also but making a top 10 list off the top of your head is hard. Just made a list of the films I remember enjoying watching 2 times.Devil wrote:I can't make a list like this. I've seen way too many movies xD
Re: Films : Top10
Hum... okay, I'll give it a shot. For the sake of activity and all ^^
I'm not going to rank the movies though, some are better than others but I couldn't pick just one for 1st place so I rather not rank any xD
- 7 Pounds
- Moon
- 5 Centimeters per Second
- V for Vendetta
- Inception
- Meet Joe Black
- 300
- A walk to remember
- Armageddon
- Constantine
I'm sure I forgot some movies and if I were to redo this list in a week it'll prolly have a couple of modifications, but there ya go xD

Well maybe it's just me, but Blade Runner is much more than meets the eye. And even so, it has very artistical cinematography and music. And it's core message transcends the plot/script. Which brings me to

which I want to see for a long time for it's artistical value, but hadn't had the willpower to hunt it down yet.

Varlan, you can find Stalker on filelist if you have an account there. If you don't, then in exchange for beer I might be willing to give you an invite .

Re: Films : Top10
Yes well, I was thinking along the lines of you bringing beer to my door step, I can't risk being seen with your raggedy ass down town . But seriously, if you wanna filelist just ask
