Post by cmnndr Sun May 10, 2015 4:44 pm

I have never had problems regarding latency, i mean real ones :p, on this servers but for a while i keep getting red spikes. They are on and off untill i get full freeze and the server eventually kicks me. Can anyone explain why this is happening, or is there anyone else experiencing this issue? I really can't play and it's starting to piss me off.

p.s. On pink servers the ping seems decent, altough, i do sometimes get spikes, but nowhere as severe as on w00tland or germany servers.

thanks

just stop findin' excuses for your noobinesh and post some tracert to w00tland/nazis/pink servers just to check where your routing is fudge up... not that we can do anything about that Very Happy

probably your isp moved to some cheaper peering with ovh.

Man this is happening to me often but you know what, Im used to it lol. I have usually a FPS between 11-38 and my ping 99-165 (normally).

And just to calm you down, you DON'T kick ass on Can server, don't think you beated me and 2 others "medium" skills guys with smg last night so you can claim yourself an "ass-kicker", don't forget I stopped using smg since the death of NA and im used to play photon, its just extremely normal for me to lose my smg skills...

ok var, when u have spikes:

open command prompt (cmd)
then write: tracert ip, then post here the results...

example:

btw tracert is used to see what path your fudge packets do to reach the server

ovh is ovh, french company from whom i rent the server.

Post by w00t!! Sun May 24, 2015 2:29 pm

mmm very strange, u have good bandwidth to rbx and nice ping too...

the only weird things are the 19ms on the first hop and the packetloss on the second...
Please tell me u are not in wifi, cause if u are u just have to fùck yourself.

questions:
-1) were u using wifi? (if yes fùck off)
0)which connection do u have? (fiber?, vdsl?)
1) 10.0.0.1 is your local router? (yes)
2) were your sharing the connection with anyone? (fappers, porn addicted, wife, sons, homos, etc)

imho the problem can be one of this 3:

1) u are in wifi and u should die now
2) someone in your home was saturating your connection
3) involves ip 10.30.2.65 that i think is the apparatus in the cabinet from your isp that handles connections of u and a bunch of other people, it might get saturated, especially on peak hours like late evening... but i don't think this is the case, especially if u have fiber. but it might be faulty

pls next time u have spikes, do (using cmd) a:
ping 5.135.182.98 -t

and let it go for some rows, u can stop it using ctrl-c

w00tland and Germany - latency problems 9Dir3R2

this is 100% genuine italian shitdsl evening saturation xD

Post by cmnndr Sun May 24, 2015 3:29 pm

-1) ofc im using wifi, what do you think i live in the dark ages?
0) its dsl. fiber on the streets.
1) its not the routers ip. maybe like you said, the app in the cabinet down the street.
2) ofc i have it shared, what do you think people dont like living in the same appartment with me? but laggingi also happens when no one else is connected.

now about your 3 theories:

1) i AM in wifi but ill stay alive a bit since i get spiking wired too
2) i dont think someone in my home did it. initially i thought someone hacked my wifi connection but it appears only persons in my house use it
3) ITS THE fudge MODEM DOWN THE STREET. I KNEW IT! it gets overused at peak hours :'( there is no escape.

thank you man. you are a specialist in diagnostics. now let me point out a couple of things.

1) i personally believe the problem is from the ISP part. could the modem in the cabinet be faulty? i may be paranoid since i dont always get spikes... and that would mean the machine works fine, it just gets clogged up at peak hours.
2) if point 1) its true, can i do anything about it? other than report the problem to my ISP? to be more exact, how do i tell and prove to my ISP theres a problem with that machine? or if theres no problem with it and its just the overkill of users hogging the connection, i guess the only solution is to buy more bandwith?
3) why is there amsterdam in a romanian domain? rdsnet is my ISP. i see there is bucuresti. why is there amsterdam in my route?
4) explain this sequence please. i dont understand it:

 1     4 ms    19 ms     3 ms    10.0.0.1
 2     *        *             20 ms  10.30.2.65
 3     5 ms     5 ms      8 ms  cr01.bucuresti.rdsnet.ro [213.154.128.59]

what do the three columns stand for? and what does it mean that on the second line i have 2 RTO and then response?
(3 packets sent on each hop, got it)
on the second ip, 98, the 10.30.2.65 responded well.... hmm.

5) but more importantly why do i get RTO on rbx? i got bandwith. i got ping. even though there is some difference between 43 and 85. i loose packets there? i dont understand. if i lose it there why are we talking about the 2nd hop? or 1st hop?
6) whats the 98 ip for? cant u use it for w00tland? What a Face

fudge

p.s. im not sure why i get red in rbx but i dont think the problem lies there. i know it sounds like a paradox, i mean the evidence is in your face, but i do get sluggish WWW from time to time. videos streaming badly, pages loading slowly, etc. i dont think that has anything to do with rbx.

Post by w00t!! Sun May 24, 2015 5:44 pm

I shouldn't write to u anymore since u were using fùckin wifi...

random answers:
1) and 2) fùck u and your wifi, stick up your àss a fùckin ethernet cable next time so that i won't waste my time... really i've seen this shìt happen before with other people... first thing when u have spikes is to fùckin plug the cable... (for actual answers, see the ps)

3)it's just a name, they probably named it that way cause packets are routed to amst. to reach western europe.

4) and 5) u get rto after rbx and the hop before cause that machine (mine for sure) is configured to not respond to icmp (ping)... the fact that u got 2 * and a 20ms on the 2nd hops means that u had packet loss there.

6)the .98 is not mine, I simply can't have a machine accepting icmp cause i get ddossed enought even without that.

for me probabilities are still the same:
90%  wifi (die pls)
9% someone downloading 4k 120fps 3d porns in your home
1% vdsl dslam that is faulty/saturated

anyway: 10.0.0.1 should be your router... why do u say it's not?
pls post the output of cmd:
ipconfig /all

if i were u i'd do the following things next time u have spikes/lag:
- plug the fudge' cable
if it's not solved
- open 2 command prompts and
in one do a ping 10.0.0.1 -t
in the other ping 10.30.2.65 -t
check if there's any packetloss (*) or lag
if there aren't any, the problem is not in your lan nor in your isp dslam

PS (or answers to 1 and 2)
Before talkin' about faulty DSLAM, u should know that there are a tons of things that can affect your vdsl  (damaged phone filter, crosstalk, rf, bad copper wire, infiltrations, etc...)
I really don't want to enter the subject before we are sure the problems lies there... so firstly plug the fùckin cable and be sure that u have spikes on the first ip outside your modem, then we'll discuss about that.

i think you missed he part where i said "i get spikes wired too"... but ill do what you suggested and see what happens.

my bad, about the 10.0.0.1 and 10.30.2.65. theyre the first ips so if im using wifi they cant be but the routers ip, right? hmm..

understood about everything else. thanks for your feedback.

BUT

if i wire my pc ill be doing it trough the router, i cant plug in the lan directly. that would mean cutting off the WWW from all the others in my house. so i still have the router inbetween me and fast WWW. so if i still lag while plugged could that mean the router is fudge up? MOTHERFUCKER

can u be a little more specific about your setup?

case a) wall copper cable -> vdsl Modem -> eth cable -> Router -> pcs (wifi and eth)
case b) wall copper cable -> vdsl Router -> pcs (wifi and eth)
case x) whatever u have

w00tland and Germany - latency problems Empty Re: w00tland and Germany - latency problems

Post by cmnndr Mon May 25, 2015 7:45 am

man i sorted it out. more o less. .....

i was actually connected to my wifi, even though i was wired. turned off wifi, did a ping check and i have <1ms to 10.0.0.1. n00bish mistake i know. i just thought it will bypass wifi once the ethernet cable is plugged in...
but i still dont find a solution, since this is a workaround. 10.0.0.1 is the default gatway but why it gives me RTO on wifi is a mistery.

im using a dlink dir-615 router and i never had this problem until recently. unfortunately i cant recall what changed... as i see on the routers config page the QoS is checked but grayed out. as far as i know from what i read this may be the reason why i get RTO. i know it wasnt checked when i configured it previously. and now i cant uncheck it. dlink forums give me nothing...

and to answer your question i have LAN cable directly inside my house. so its ETHERNET -> DIR-615 -> ETHERNET/WIFI.
the modem is probably down the street OPTICALFIBER -> METAL HELL CABINET -> ETHERNET -> DIR-615 -> ETHERNET/WIFI

here you go. hack me.

I'm gonna kill u var Very Happy u said u were on *dsl and now u tell me u have eth cable in your house? u have fùckin fttb i bet.

How can't u even know which connection u own?

1)FTTS/FTTC (fiber to the cabinet/fiber to the street --> used for vdsl, last part is with normal phone copper cable, u have a dsl modem in your house)
2)FTTB/P (fiber to the building/palace, there's a fiber router in the building that reaches every apartment with ethernet)
3)FTTH/A (fiber to the home, the fiber reaches your fùckin home/apartment, and u have a personal modem/router in it)

edit: i've checked rcs rds site and from my knowledge of romanian cheap talks in mamaia beach, they only sell FTTB.

Ok we can dismiss the part where i was talkin about vdsl dslam problems.

im trying to see what you did there but i cant haha. honestly, i been playing on wifi since may 2012....

man cant recall if i explained to you. the channel was set to 6 and after i switched to 11 lags stopped.

now:
1) i dont remember what channel i used before my impotent appmate fiddled with the router. i know he changed the ip from dynamic to static like a noob he is. he might have changed the channel too

2) THE ONLY FAULT I HAVE, which indeed makes me up for a shot in the face, is i didnt know ETH doesnt override WIFI and you need to turn off or dc WIFI, so the lags i kept experiencing on ETH were actually fom WIFI  Sad

3) imma go for that mici
