About the nadespawn

I've been looking for topics or posts about it, but they are closed so far, that's why I started this one. So here it comes:

I've never commited any nadespawn in a schooly or in a clan match, but I've been nadespawned several times. I saw admins in spectator saying nothing about it and I'm just curious about something:

Read this one about nadespawn:

I personally never do anything when players nade spawns in a cm. It's not my job to dictate the way 2 clans play against each other. As for options I think Devil wrote them in that quote you have in your post

not sure C if your whole post is there

on the topic: you can just decide not to play clans that use nade spawns if they wont agree on not using that tactic... eventually when they cant get matches to play they will go with the community stream

off the topic: star clan isnt what it used to be... :-P

My entire post is there. Just didn't have that much to say about it but seeing as admins were mentioned I figured I'd share my POV on the matter. As for myself, I'm neither for nor against nade spawning.

I mean, I have the right to be upset being spawned several times, even in important moments:
Being nadespawned, when tactically died and my team controlled enough spawnpoints to force me spawning into enemy base, where I could be...nadespawned once... and again.

So if I understand the rules, then I can nadespawn anyone in clan matches, until he start to argue about it, then I can say that "you did not claimed that we have to play without nadespawns"! Twisted Evil

Well, there was a similar case that happened to my clan recently: we played a cm, and even though there was no explicit agreement on "no nadespawn", it's kinda considered a standard nowadays and no clan naded spawns. For a round and a half. Until we took a 2-flag lead in the 2nd round and an enemy player had -20 score. Apparently losing to us is as horrible as nadespawn because from that moment I got naded at spawn 3 times after which I decided to stop the cm.

My proposition: if the cm is agreed as a "no nadespawn" one, and a player obviously nades a spawn on purpose, ban him for a day. Not because of nadespawn, but because of a severe case of un-sportsmanship and idiocy.

Me neither. It's not a rule you aren't allowed to nadespawn, just most prefer not to. If clans are being jerks about it, like Gero said, just don't play them. Or just rq the cm.
Unless all admins start banning for it, I surely won't as it's not my place to do so.

Well imo it's common knowledge that saddam/raptile deliberately nade spawns when the opposing team is leading so if you're talking about the same people I suspect you could find a way to make it stop, like not playing against them, unfortunately every time something like this happens the competitive part of the community suffers.

I did not want to be this exact, but I share this opinion. I did not go mad about it, only told him, S! Saddam to stop it and kindly, he stopped for another 5 secs: 5...4...3...2...1...Press [left mouse button] to respawn and bang again.

I'll never ban someone for nading a spawn no matter what you agree on at the start of a cm.

To be fair, I can't remember saying what I said in that text where Feno quoted me, BUT I agree with it. Nadespawning is just a way of taking advantage of an unfinished game mechanic. In a "complete" game or a game that has constant updates this would have been fixed by now.

Just stop playing with the ones who do it if they don't agree to it.

Just agree at the start of the CM that if someone deliberately nades or shoots a spawn, the opposing team wins the round, the CM or get a free cap.

Chances are they'll say the same to avoid being banned if that rule was to be enforced. I just don't think it's an admins position to judge in a CM. Players should be old enough to sort these things out themselves without crying for "mommy or daddy".
As things are now I'm on the same page as you, just don't play that team again or don't play them if a certain player is on the team.

Shooting/flaming/nading spawn, is an option every team has, whether or not they use it is up to them, and if other people don't want it then dont play the people who does it.

looking at spawns and spawning might be a bit impossible to avoid ;p

On a side note is a bit ironic it is now a star member complaining other people nadespawn xD (<3 u uli)

I was sure that someone will take the chance to say this thing, but it is quite disappointing for me that it was you, Anette. I have never committed any nadespawn, so respect me at least from this view. Complaining is something that you can mostly read under "Got Banned/Muted?" topic, so just check the difference. It was a question what I asked.

I think every rule can be broken without getting banned, muted or kicked. For example, what would happen, if I flame the area of the spawnpoint and block the player from moving to any direction, not the spawnpoint exactly.

My suggestion is this: Make a new update for the game, what includes an option like freshly spawned players cannot be damaged for 1,5-2 seconds and some solution for misthrown flames (not on purpose).
