laptop-PC different ping

I have a computer and a laptop. on my laptop i have the ping: 0-33!
but on my computer I have the ping:33-99 and sometimes till 132. On both (laptop and compuer) i have windowsXP.
how can that happen? I looked already if its a cable problem. it isnt.
some guys said to me that can happen when the computer have a other worser prosesser.
can that happen because of the prosesser?
please guys need help.

It could if you do not have a graphics card and your cpu is doing the graphics calculations
and it just doesn't stay in the temp of sending 30 requests a second.
I am not sure this is the reason.
Try setting up a firewall ( sygate personal firewall for example) and filter out everything.

i have a grafic card and of course i have a firewall too.
i will look if it will help when i filter out everything. i write back if its the solution.

Probably your chipset that's causing the problems on your PC. I'd suggest updating the bios, after that the drivers. If you still have the problem try using windows legacy drivers for your network part of the PC (some nforce4 users have had a similar problem when using nforce drivers). If it still doesn't work, get a PCI LAN card if there's room for it in your PC, install it and see if it improves the ping. For cards I'd suggest Intel, Belkin or Sweex. Maybe just find some cheap one to use with a seperate driver.

I have not only a different ping on bv2 and on windows too.
When I open a internetsite my laptop is loading these site in few secs and my computer needs more time to open the same site.

I dont know the name of the router...sry but i dont think its because of the router because both are connected on the same router.

and i dont have icq...just msn

some routers can set different priorities to packets from laptop and pc.
