No cursor outside babo

This might be stupid question but it is bugging me

I play babo in window mode, anyone know why I cannot see the cursor outside the babo window on my XP, but I can on Win7?

Works fine here on XP, perhaps something in mouse settings like pointer trails is causing it. I'll check it out later.

It depends on whether you're actually playing or just in the gamebrowser or another menu is on your screen.
Press ESC, and you can move the cursor outside the window. If you join spec or a team, you can't. Seeing as you play in windowed mode it doesn't matter if your mouse goes outside when you're in the game browser or any other menu (like pressing ESC in-game) but if it could do so when you play it'd be an annoyance as you suddenly would press to fire and doing so would only switch focus from the game to your desktop. Kinda shitty thing to happen in a CM I can imagine.
AFAIK it's a feature incorporated in most games that gives the OS instructions to deny mouse travelling outside a border of sorts.
Some mousedrivers override this.
As for Windows 7 being able to show the mouse outside the window... I guess it's got something to do with Aero or some other shit in Win7 that lets you peek at what other windows you have open.

what I mean is, I can use the cursor outside when I press ESC, but I cannot see it.
is rly frustrating having to guess where it is xD
on win7 I can see it just fine.

I actually experienced such a thing in a CM. I moved the cursor so fast that somehow I managed to click and drag the whole window out of it's place. Uber shitty.

To be on topic. Ann, sometimes it happens to me too, though I don't recall the reason. When it will happen next time, fortunately never, I'll drop a useful line. Meanwhile maybe others (Crapp, Mother Theresa, Santa w/e) will give a reason and a solution to avoid it.

What mouse are you using?
Check for a setting in the mouse driver called "game detection (or something alike)" and try reverting all mouse settings to default with "mouse" under controlpanel.

If your mouse requires non-generic drivers, try to get latest version from manufacturer's website.

If it won't help, install Windows 7 :)

I tried updating drivers and still nothing, plus there is no game settings.
Not long ago since I formatted and I haven't changed any mouse settings in control panel.
I remember I didn't have the cursor visible in beginning but at one time it came and now since I formatted its gone again..

What babo client are you using? Try the original one, prozac or pro client 2 versions to see if that helps

If all fails, stop trying to multitasking, you suck at it anyway

Install latest video drivers from manufacturer's website and latest DirectX. (I'm sure problem will be eliminated).

BTW, do you use custom cursor scheme? Did you tried to change cursor scheme and check if problem persists?

Did you get it fixed?
If not, maybe the driver for the mouse got updated and the "cursor outside window" thingie got removed from it. Try an older driver to see if you find options that aren't in the current version you have installed. You might well have it in a CD somewhere behind a box in the closet on top of a dusty shelf furthest back where the siders live

But no, its not fixed. The driver I had before was the one from the cd, and now I have the newest from website. But I haven't tried other babo clients yet although I don't think that would solve it, since I use the exact same babo on my win7.
