I think this red flash is appropriate cost for having minimap visible while receiving damage.

I tried it out and liked it, I think I'll keep playing on this version !
As Nath, I disliked a bit the red screen, but I guess we might be soon accustomed

Yeah, the sound of the voice ("blue team scores" and "your flag returned") is weird
It is nice to be able to choose ingame the crosshair we wanna use, and not to spawn when u're clicking in the menu.

Well you think that's bad, others see Crapper think it's a "cheat" since you can see more than normal when your babo is "dieing". Honestly I prefer this since like ketamine said, minimap and other parts of the screen are more visible. But you can always change the screenhit file, leaving only the red rectangle on. I find that more annoying than the transparent red screen so I left it untouched
I like the nade, molotov, shell and flag icons. The electric green of the nades in game do make them more visible which is a plus. Oh! And the beam of the photon with it's directions is nice.
I don't like the fonts and the sounds from quake which I replaced. :mrG.

So, I've played with the mod for some time now and here's my verdict.

I like it. Fairly simple really but I do. The fact that it's not the new weapons makes it good and that you don't spawn when pressing the menu is great too. If you decide to do something more to it, I'd ask that remote admin gets implemented so that admins don't need to DL it seperately (easily done but still a suggestion) and that the bright red border gets removed from the screen when you take a hit.

Apart from that, good job and keep up the good work.
